These two dolls represent a couple in the traditional outfits with the traditional cradleboard, as it could be seen today at traditional pow wows.
The male doll has the crown feather war bonnet, with his coup stick in his right hand and his war shield in his left. The female doll has the traditional all-beaded yoke and carries her baby in the all-beaded cradleboard.
These pieces are contemporary-made, but in a very fine creation, which gives a very good idea of the traditional Lakota outfits from the end of the 19th century during the reservation period.
