Description

This male doll is carved in a piece of pine wood, and the arms are articulated.

This carnival figure takes place in the different Christian celebrations.  The costume and the mask worn by the dancer represent the Spanish dominators, but at the same time, the native aspect of the culture is occulted to the Spanish people.
